2024-2025 Ministry Year Updates
Starting on Sept. 8, we will begin offering Cascade Kids Worship for children ages 3 through 5th grade. Parents, as you understand your child’s faith journey best, you can decide whether they should participate in this program, stay in church, or serve. Our goal is to support every child on their spiritual journey by providing learning opportunities that are appropriate for their age and stage of development, and meet them where they’re at in those areas. We are committed to partnering with you in any way we can to help your children know and love Jesus, find a sense of belonging in God’s family, and feel valued when they come to church. Starting with the first Community Night on Sept. 18, middle school youth group will begin meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of every month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Beforehand, youth group students and their families are invited to attend the community dinner which begins at 5:30 pm.
It is our hope that changing the meeting day and time will encourage more involvement for our middle school friends. We also hope this change relieves much of the tension that existed for families who wanted to have their kids involved with Cascade Students but struggled to do so because Sundays were jam packed with activities.
With middle school youth group moving to Wednesday evenings, GEMs and Cadets will now run in parallel with that ministry and see an adjustment in the grades that participate in those programs. Starting Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1st-5th grade students will be invited to participate in GEMs and Cadets. Once students reach 6th grade they will be invited to attend middle school youth group.
All of our adults will be offered the opportunity to learn from somebody older than them, connect with someone in the same stage of life as them, and lead people who are younger than them in Grow Groups this year. Our goal is to make connections that are lasting throughout the church so members of our body feel like they belong to the greater body of Christ. Come to church at 9:00 am during Grow Groups session one (Sept. 8 – Nov. 17) and find a group that is learning something you find compelling. Important Calendar Items
Session 1 begins on September 8
All ages are invited to church at 9:00 am as we begin the first session of Grow Groups. Session 1 runs from Sept. 8 through Nov. 17 with a fall break Oct. 20.
Grow Groups are designed for all ages and classes are divided up to present age appropriate content from pre-k through senior citizen. To check out details for these meetings, visit our Groups Page.
New this year we are offering a time before Grow Groups begin for participants to grab a snack in the Hub. This will be happening from 8:45 to 9:00 am.
Groups start meeting on September 15
Life Groups are focused on creating and fostering relationships among families. These are intentional times to invest in people that are experiencing similar stages of life as you.

Beginning on September 18
Running the first and third Wednesday of every month, Community Nights offer a pizza dinner, GEMS, Cadets, middle school youth group, occasional service opportunities, and intergenerational fellowship.

In addition to our programming nights, we’re planning intentional time to build relationships with students through more fun based events the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

We kickoff the year at our new time, but same day of the week. Following this night we’ll be meeting the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month for youth group. Dinner will run from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, followed by some games, a large group talk, and then small groups to close things out. All 9th-12th grade students are welcome!

November 24, 9:00-9:45 am
We’re planning a morning of fellowship and good food, as we celebrate a successful first session of Grow Groups and the fruit it will produce. This breakfast is potluck style, so bring a dish to pass. Drinks, silverware, and flatware are provided.
December 13, 6:00-9:00 pm
This is a family-oriented event that includes dinner and celebration to end the year. It will be engaging for all ages and include games, activities, a movie, and lots of space for community building. We’ll have more info as we near the date, but put it on your calendar now!
