The Ten Commandments show us God’s character and his will for all who follow him. God is not a cosmic killjoy. He created life and knows how it is best lived. Just like any Father, he wants the best for us and doesn’t want us to hurt ourselves. When we show people this better way of living, we put him on display!

  2. Do you see the Ten Commandments as still relevant to your life as a Christian today? Why or why not?
  3. The Ten Commandments are hard to follow, but they are very important according to Jesus! Do you think we can improve in all areas overnight? Or is it a lifelong process?
  4. Do you feel like following the Ten Commandments is life-giving and leads to joy? Or does it feel more like a restrictive list of things you can’t do?
  5. Take time to pray that God would reveal these commandments to you in a new way. Pray that we would see them as the best way of living and honoring God.
