How do you read the Bible and actually hear God speaking to you through it? That’s what our study of the spiritual disciplines is all about!

In this week’s sermon, I modeled how to study John 8:32 and then how to meditate on it. Before that in our series, we talked about submission. And before that, we looked at Jesus’ teaching on how to pray (and how not to pray!) in Matthew 6.

It may surprise you to know that all of these spiritual disciples work together! In the video above, I talk about how I’ve put it into practice in my own life.

If you want to take steps toward making these things a habit in your life too, I would highly recommend you check out our denomination’s Faith Practices Project. They have free resources online about how to engage with the Scriptures by yourself or with your family.

I hope this helps. If I can be of service in any other way, don’t hesitate to reach out!
