Jesus won a great victory over sin and death. How can we benefit from his victory? The Bible is clear that the only way to receive these benefits is by being grafted into Christ through faith. In this week’s session we’ll talk about what faith is and what it is not.

- Start by reading Romans 4:18-21. What stands out to you in these verses?
- Abraham persevered in his faith despite many things in the world telling him he should give up on this promise from God. What words would you use to describe Abraham’s character and faith?
- What does it look like for you to trust in God with the same kind of deep faith Abraham had?
- Read James 2:19. This is a strong statement on the difference between knowing God and truly having faith in him. James’ point is that it is not enough just to know who God is. Real faith involves trust and obedience to the God. Why do you think faith and obedience are linked together?
