Living in Michigan sure has its perks: four seasons, beautiful lakes and scenery, friendly people …. but it also likes to surprise us with unforeseen weather patterns.
Ever have it when you plan something and it gets foiled by weather?
That’s what happened to us this year. We wanted to have a giant Egg Hunt on our grounds along with games, food trucks and a whole lotta fun. Due to bad weather (lots of rain!! – hello, muddy shoes), we quickly pivoted our plans to allow people to take an Egg Hunt to-go.
Instead of hiding 5,000 eggs in the grass, we divided them up into 100 to-go bags. Each kit included eggs, invitations, and a devotional activity. Those who were pre-registered were invited to grab their bag from Cascade.
While we were expecting to do one thing, God had different plans.
