As our area is in the midst of a fourth COVID-19 spike, we recognize the responsibility we have to care for one another and for our community as we continue to offer large gatherings in indoor settings. We strive to balance two strong convictions: our love for gathering together as the church and our love for the vulnerable in our church and in our community.
Throughout the pandemic, we have followed the guidance from the CDC, as well as state and local government agencies. Our plan is to continue to do so. While our local hospitals remain at capacity and as the rate of cases in Kent County continues to climb, we will do everything in our power to provide a safe and healthy space for gathering. Here are the efforts we are now undertaking:
1. Our Worship Centers are operating at reduced capacity to provide more space between families.
2. We have increased the airflow in each Worship Center, including leaving doors open and allowing as much fresh air into the venue as possible.
3. Every room is sanitized before each use, and restrooms and common areas have increased cleaning and sanitization.
4. We will continue to offer a mask-required venue in the Youth Room, and we will continue to make improvements to our online church options as well.
You play a vital role in this marathon race against coronavirus. We ask you to consider following Michigan’s Public Health Advisory by wearing a face covering whenever you are indoors, including at Cascade Fellowship’s gatherings. We also ask that you please stay home if you are not feeling well.
Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for continuing to show the love of Christ in all you do. We also would like to acknowledge and thank the many members of our church who work in the medical field to keep our community safe.
